Soul Intent is a funk & soul cover band originating from Portsmouth, Virginia. The band showcases 9 members, including a 4 piece horn section as well as male and female lead vocals.
Our musical inspiration comes from the crisp horns and toe tapping rhythm of the 60s & 70s. Artists like Aretha Franklin, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder, The Doobie Brothers, Earth, Wind, & Fire, and many more are what our shows center around.
As a band, we pride ourselves on high quality performances and, most importantly, always having fun! Whether it be the songs or our killer dance moves, Soul Intent is guaranteed to make any crowd strap on their ‘Boogie Shoes’ and ‘Dance to the Music’.
